FolkWay started in 2008 and has evolved into an international cultural network expanding both in Greece and abroad. Today, it focuses on:

  • organizing Greek traditional dance seminars
  • and developing cultural tourism programs

As part of Open Ways Events & Travel, FolkWay Festivals combine:

offering a complete participation experience for Greek and international cultural associations every time.

In parallel, FolkWay develops an extensive network of international collaborations, through which associations can also participate in notable festivals abroad.

Who We Are

FolkWay is the cultural sector of Open Ways Events & Travel, focusing on the organization, promotion, and development of international tradition festivals in Greece and abroad. Starting in 2016, FolkWay has evolved into a recognized body for cultural events, with a strong identity, stable presence, and a continuously expanding international audience.

Based in Thessaloniki and operating throughout Greece, FolkWay combines:

  • Open Ways’ many years of experience in organizing events and cultural projects,
  • with the organizational strength of its travel sector, offering comprehensive hospitality and participation packages.

Our Events

FolkWay Festivals are the official events of Open Ways Events & Travel and take place in selected destinations in Greece and abroad.

Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, Pieria, Istanbul, Southern Italy, Dubai, and new destinations announced annually, welcome cultural associations from around the world to high-level events.

In parallel, through the FolkWay International Network, we collaborate with reputable organizers and cultural institutions in many countries, enabling Greek associations to participate in international festivals in Europe, Asia, and other regions.

Thus, FolkWay simultaneously functions as:
