The event and travel organization company “OPEN WAYS IKE” welcomes you and your association to the “5th International Folklore Festival”, named “FOLKWAY” which will take place from June 27th to July 1st, 2024, in municipal districts of the Municipality of Dio-Olympus, such as Leptokarya and Litochoro. It is the only international folklore festival in the region organized by the company and is under the auspices of the Municipality of Dio-Olympus and the Regional Unit of Pieria, in cooperation with local associations, with high-quality organizational standards and great respect for tradition and culture.
The Municipality of Dio-Olympus (90 km from Thessaloniki) is located at the foothills of Mount Olympus and on the shores of the Thermaic Gulf, of the Aegean Sea. Mount Olympus is the first National Park in Greece and was declared a “Biosphere Reserve” by UNESCO in 1981. According to mythology, the surrounding area was the dwelling place of the Twelve ancient Greek Gods and the Muses.
